I am using the web pb library functions to create html pages from a datawindow
(Just like the book). When I add the transaction paging, Dates and Longs are
not coming back (they are null).

Any ideas ???

Thanks.

I can make the service work (f_GetTransactionPage) if I export the DW, change
the DW columns from a number datatype to a decimal(0). It also works if I use
DB functions to convert the columns to strings.

If anyone has investigated this already, I would appreciate the feedback.

Thanks

Is your database SQL Anywhere?

I am using Oracle 7.3. Also of interest is (using the paging)...

If the query returns columns that have a value of null, when the rows are
retrieved from the web pb tables, the null value is converted to an empty
string. So if you have a computed column in the DW checking for Null values,
you must change the logic to inclued empty strings.

I have not investigated the problem with "number" and "datetime" datatypes in
the DW yet, (I have a workaround - convert to strings using the Oracle TO_CHAR
function, see previous note)
