Can these powerscript functions be used to get data from the Internet if not
using a Web.PB. The Hyperlink function works and will open a site on the
default browser, but I'm not sure if there is special setup required to use
GETURL and POSTURL from a Client/Server app that is not web enabled.

Hi I used the Hyperlink service for the first time the other day and am also
looking at dragging information from the net. I am trying geturl today. Also
posturl for depositing info on the webserver application machine.

I will keep you informed and looking at any responses

I dont know if you have done it yet but I have hacked together a solution for
geturl and here it is .

(1)Create the standard user object n_ir_msgbox in the user object painter it
must be of standard internetresult class

(2)Declared in window feeding off the web

Instance variable declarations:

//Hyperlink
Inet iinet_base
//Internet Response Data
n_ir_msgbox iir_msgbox

(3)Code in command button on window feeding off the web

iir_msgbox = CREATE n_ir_msgbox

iinet_base.GetURL &
(ls_find_browser_header, iir_msgbox)

(4)In the new standard internet result class object collect the html
(a)Write a function called internetdata with a return of 1 and an argument
called data which is of type blob

(b)Add the below code
initial test code writted inside new function called internetdata:

MessageBox("data", String( data ))
Return 1

I hope this is a little clearer than the documentation
