Ramnivas,

I have a question about using AspectJ in conjunction with XDoclet. It seems to me that in many cases XDoclet is used to handle cross-cutting concerns. Has there been any discussion regarding the possibility of incorporating XDoclet into AspectJ? It would seem to be a good idea, as it seems that currently XDoclet is still somewhat invasive, and involves a lot of scattering relatively similar tags throughout a system. It would be nice if the XDoclet tags could be weaved in like regular code via Aspects.

Are there any plans to incorporate AspectJ with XDoclet?

There is basic implementation called "barter", that is primarily designed for "design by contract" support. I recently started using it. It needs some work and it should be integrated into XDoclet, but you can start with as is.
