I love you book. But I was wondering why you didn't review turbine... Any thoughts there?

I gave a brief overview of Turbine in the first chapter, and seriously considered including it. However, as I started writing about it, it seemed like the only way to even provide an overview would take 50 pages. Plus, I had already decided to include Tapestry, which is pretty complex itself.

Turbine is tough to get into, because (IMO) the documentation and especially the samples are fairly user hostile. When I was looking at it, most of the docs were JavaDoc comments, and it was hard to get a good feel for the overall architecture. You could see lots of trees, but the forest was tough.

I'm going to write more about Turbine in an upcoming issue of the on-line magazine that starts in about a month named
