I am not entirely sure what you are asking here. Are you asking how to get a
file with processor statistics information? If so, you will have to use some
platform-specific tools (vmstat on solaris, read /proc/cpu/* on linux) to get
that information, or maybe you can find a module on CPAN that can help you out
here. Once you have the information, you format it up and write it to a file
or databse, or whatever...

And once you have that file, you can read the information in, and plot it in
any way you please. There are several examples in Chapter 5 that show how to
pass data to the various plotting routines of the various modules.

If you're looking at time-series charts, almost all techniques in chap[ter 5
will work fine.


I really can't be more help than this, simply because I don't really
understand what you're asking, and why you're asking it. Is there anything in
the book that isn't clear?
