Hi all!
I've already read quite a few articles about .NET but there's something i
can't get straight. Is there something equivalent to Java's WebStart. If yes
is this called Remoting?
Assuming i am building a normal application using Windows Forms for a HMI that
is connected to some OPC-Server or so. How can i make a Remote HMI via the
Internet. In Java this was quite easy with WebStart.

Please help

Thanks a lot

Hi Mick,

My Java knowledge is a little rusty. However, I believe that Java Web Start
is for deploying Java applications via the Web. Remoting is something
altogether different - See chapter 5 for details.

Hi Fergal,

Does the chapter 5 contain details about launching .net windows forms
application over the web or details about remoting?

Thanks and
