I really enjoyed your book "Microsoft .NET for Programmers". It was really an
eye opener to see how much could be accomplished with such little code. If
you wouldn't mind sharing I would be interested in knowing roughly how many
copies of your book you expect to sell.

Thanks

Hi Dan,

I had no particular expectation when I wrote the book. I just felt that the
poker "engine" would be a neat way to show off the technology. So I had
something to say, if you like, and I said it. Potential sales were not a
major consideration.

As for relative sales figures... comparable titles from Microsoft Press and
Wrox, for example, are heavily advertised and promoted. Therefore, good or
bad, they typically outsell the competition. That's why Amazon reader
reviews, word of mouth, etc. are important to us.

I'm glad you enjoyed the book.

Regards,
Fergal
