hi all,
I'm having a problem figuring out the class needed to manage serial ports
using C# or Vb.net because as far as I know, the dotNet framework doesn't
support it. Is there a way to manage serial ports with dotNet (preferably
without the use of Windows Api Function? Could anyone please enlighten me?
Thanks

Hi,

Not that I am aware of. However, if you search for "serial port" at
http://www.developersdex.com/csharp, you'll find a discussion about
workarounds.

Better late than never...

The October 2002 issue of MSDN Magazine contains an article by John Hind in
which he presents a base class library, in both C# and VB.NET, for serial
device communications.
