Early in the book, you say "who will see the payment nearly instantaneously and within about 60 minutes the recipient can be sure that the money is hers."

I understand the need for a generalization to get the basic idea across in a way that is mostly true, in order to proceed painting the larger picture. However, seeing a payment nearly instantaneously rarely happens and depends on a large number of factors, which is one huge reason that (for example) so many merchants have failed to adopt Bitcoin. I'm sure there is a way to simultaneously be more correct and also get the general idea across that the payment will be received *soon* - but what soon is *depends*

With "see the payment nearly instantaneously", I mean that the transaction is displayed in the recipient's wallet as unconfirmed, and that the transaction will confirm within 60 minutes. Maybe I could have been more clear there.
