Hi,

So I basically typed the code listings from lesson 1 faithfully into notepad++, so I am at a loss as to why I am getting errors when loading it into GHCi:
When I try to load the finished listing from 1.6 into GHCi, for example, I get:
"error: Variable not in scope: l :: t4 -> t3

Any ideas what's causing this? The author mentioned constantly loading programs into GHCi being pretty important, so I'd like to tackle any problems with GHCi as early as possible.

thanks,
Michael

I am in the same situation.
On lesson 1, the example sumSquareOrSquareSum v.1 does not compile.

Update: most of my errors where somehow linked to identation.

White space, such as indentation, can change the meaning in Haskell.
