I am trying to run the books examples by double clicking the bat file
however with every example I try to run I get error messages similar to
one below. As you may guess, I have little experience and would appreciate
any help.Thanks.
C:Java 3D J3duiBookexamplesFancyApp>set classpath=....lib;
C:Java 3D J3duiBookexamplesFancyApp>java FancyApp
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassFoundError: javax/media/j3d/Canvas3D
at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass0(Native Method)
at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(Unknown Source)

etc. etc. etc.

Java can't find the class ".../j3d/Canvas3D". This is the first Java 3D file
java encounters in the example. My guess is that you do not have Java 3D
installed properly. Can you run any other java 3d examples, like
HelloUniverse, which comes with the j3d JDK? If you have both the JRE and JDK
version of java installed, make sure that java 3d is installed in both of
them.

hope this helps
