This is more to help others who may run into the same problem when going through the exercises. If you're using Server 2016/Windows 10, you'll be using IIS 10. The SEO toolkit is kind of older, and, well...the author of that tool apparently thought version checking just the first number was good enough.

SEO Toolkit will complain that it requires IIS version 7 or higher to install. It checks the major version listed in the registry (which is 10) and just looks at the first number, so it fails since 1 is obviously a lower version than 7.

Anyway, the fix is a momentary registry hack:
WARNING: modifying the registry improperly can cause significant damage to your operating system. Please exercise caution when making changes.

1. Open a run dialog (Windows key + R) and type 'regedit' and hit enter to open the Registry Editor
2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\InetStp
3. After you click on the 'InetStp' key in the left pane, find the 'MajorVersion' property in the right and double click it
4. Change the value to 7 and click OK (leave RegEdit open)
5. Install SEO Toolkit (it should complete without problem this time)
6. Go back to RegEdit, double click on 'MajorVersion' again, and change it back to 'a' (hexadecimal for 10) and close RegEdit

That's it, as far as I can tell so far, it should work just fine.
