Hi,
I'm trying to run the cameranavigating example from your book code. The *.bat
file should help us run it without setting the class path, so I've tryed it.
VRML97 was installed in my c:jdk1.2.2 dir but still i get an error
'noclassdeffounderror'. VRMLloader class is where it's supposed to be.
I think its only the classpath that's a problem. Is there any way you could
help us - silly people to set it correctly?
Is there any way togive us the full lib path for the bat file to be modified?
my book source is here

thank you,and all the best.

There are two installations of java 3d. One is the JDK, which is for
development. The other is the JRE version, which is for runtime use. My
guess is that you only installed the vrml loader in the jdk version. For
runtime use, such as with the .bat file, you also have to have the vrml loader
installed in the JRE version. ususally this can be achieved by copying the
loader JAR file from the JDK directory area to the same position in the JRE
area (e.g. Csmilierogram FilesJavaSoftJre1.3libextx3d.jar).

Feel free to copy and modify the .bat file as you need to, such as adding the
specific location of your loader .jar file to the classpath (however, copying
the jar file to the JRE would be a more permanent and global solution).

Good luck. Let me know if you still have problems.
