I am also on a mac. It would be nice at least as an appendix, to show how you recommend setting up a development environment, ie. setting up a web server. There are a number of ways to do this. I am just interested on how best to setup the environment. This seems to be key as it will recur many times throughout the book I assume

Try browser-sync. Unzip code samples and run browser-sync inside that directory

# install nodejs if missing: brew install node
npm install -g browser-sync
browser-sync start --server --files="**/*"



Then navigate to http://localhost:3000/ (note that some links from that index page are incorrect, eg. shoud be chapter11/11_02.html instead of chapter11/11_2.html)
