This may be out of scope. But one option to install for MAC is with docker. It is suggested that one could use:

docker run -it -p 8888:8888 tensorflow/tensorflow


But this seems to listen for a "Jupyter notebook". I started to look into Jupyter but didn't have time to delve into this concept. You wouldn't happen to have an example where I could have a Jupyter notebook and run the python examples from the book?
