I struggled a lot with the PUG template section... When the code block was split to multiple pages it became hard to follow the indentation properly. Perhaps try to constraint those code blocks to a single page or add column rulers throughout the code block.

Thanks for the suggestion, you're not the first person to struggle with this.

In the final version of the book, there is normally a bit more thought given to exactly where the code listings sit in terms of page breaks. In the MEAP they are just put in where they fit flow in the text.

I'll ask again about the columns for code listings, I think it's a great idea! They're weren't able to do it in the first edition, but who know?!
