Please, although in the introduction it says the focus of the book is english is it ease to adapt the book contentes to obter languages? In other worlds, the focused language is that relevant to nlp? Does not the theory apply to any Roman language ?

Yes indeed! You are right. The techniques we use are applicable to any language that separates words using whitespace or punctuation or any other set of Unicode characters. If you can tokenize your text you can use these techniques.
