Hi,

I wonder why I end up with 0.16 when it should be 0.18?

> elm@0.18.0 install C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\npm\node_modules\elm
> node install.js

Downloading Elm binaries from https://dl.bintray.com/elmlang/elm-platform/0.18.0/win32-x64.tar.gz
+ elm@0.18.0
updated 1 package in 39.603s

C:\elmtest>elm-make --version
elm-make 0.16 (Elm Platform 0.16.0)

Also, what's the difference between installing with node/npm and using the exe installer from the Elm site?

Thanks

I figured out myself why there was a discrepancy between the version of the installer and the version finally installed: I had a previous 0.16 version installed a while ago. So one needs to check manually for an existing version before installing a new one. This is on Windows 7.

I still don't know what's the difference between installing with node/npm and using the exe installer from the Elm site?
