With HUGE difficulties I managed to compile and start the Redux-Netflix app.
I can enter the Movies component only because it is declared as IndexRoute of /
All the other routes declared inside the <Router> component do not resolve on the client. Instead an explicit GET is sent to the server, which obviously responds with a 404.
Having verified that the author of the book has graciously taken my money and departed for the next endeavour, is there anyone among the readers who could suggest me what could be going wrong in this case? Thank you in advance.

I can assure that I haven't seen you or anyone else's money since Manning won't pay any royalties until the book is published. smilie

As far as your question, I'm not sure what MEAP version do you refer to, but in the recent version, that's how the example is suppose to work (ch14). In the next chapter (ch15), you are going to build the server side support for the routing:

It will take a bit longer to provide the hardwired connection as I need to plug a few 100Mbps routers and bridges together to span that length.

I did use a PowerLine connection returning 6Mbps at the TV (wired from PowerLine to TV) but the Netflix Connection Test Failed.

I also moved the router to provide a -45dB wireless signal (strong) near the TV but the Netflix Connection test failed again on server 2.

I have tried PLUSNET assigned DNS and also Googles 8.8.8.8.

Interestingly last night BBC iPlayer froze twice watching content and exiting out of iPlayer and restarting was the only way we could continue watching.

On some forums some people are saying BT's family security can impact this but as far as I am aware our content filtering on PLUSNET is turned off.

This issue can surely only lie in 1 of 3 places:

1. Wireless connection (once I get a full cable signal I can verify). This could include signal strength or faulty Wireless Card I guess.

2. Netflix App issues on the 2016 TV release

3. PlusNet routing/port issue/streaming consistency issue?

I have recently got the latest version of Netflix on Appvn store.

Netflix single page app calls the server instead of resolving using the Router....
to solve this problem, Netflix created and open-sourced its Zuul proxy server. Zuul is an edge service that proxies requests to multiple backing services. It provides a unified “front door” to your system, which allows a browser, mobile app, or other user interface to consume services from multiple hosts without managing cross-origin resource sharing and authentication for each one.
