Hi,
The import statements that are used with the book became invalid with the
version change. I am not that familiar with the pre-1.2.1 libraries and want
to know how to correct the import staements systematically. My idea is to do a
global search --> replace on the directory contining the affected files. The
offending files seem to be anything starting with sun.com.blah which I "think"
may map to javax.swing.blah. Other and future readers will be having this
problem also at least until the next edition of the book comes out. Can you
address this issue? Could you possibly post the necessary directory name
conversions so we can cut n' paste them or search and replace them???

Thank you....

Replace all "com.sun.java." instances with "javax."

This is all you need to do...

Steve has made these changes for the second edition
of his book.

You're right. The only things it won't work for are the
nonstandard PLAF packages. They stay the same....

Actually, that won't quite work. See
java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/start/_packagename.html for the
official mappings.
