Page 13 has the following paragraph:


Now let’s look at how the design of Angular is simpler than that of AngularJS. In AngularJS, all directives were loaded to the global memory, whereas in Angular you specify the required directives on the component level, providing better encapsulation.


This may have been true with earlier RC versions, but didn't that change to include these dependencies in the declaration property of the ngModule?

The current MEAP is about to be refreshed with all new content to reflect the current state of things. Angular changed a lot in the last RC release before 2.0, and I've been rewriting to use the CLI as well. It should be released in early December with the updates and you'll see more chapters rapidly from then.
