"Initiating a sub-task as well as its completion are just events which are raised by one part of the program and reacted to in another part, for example by registering an action to be taken when a Future is completed with its value. In this fashion the latency of the method call for the overall task does not even include the latencies for sub-tasks A, B and C."

The first line above is quiet insightful. However, the second line is confusing. We need to assume that the "method call" is aggregate(a,b,c). It could be made clearer.

Also the meaning of this line is not clear: "method call for the overall task does not even include the latencies for sub-tasks A, B and C."

Isn't the latency of the aggregate method call = the maximum latency of the task A, task B, task C?
