On page 6 in the Experiment: playground section you write:

Try printing text in Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or Spanish. Go supports characters
of every language.

No information is provided in the chapter as to how to do this. I am sure I could figure it out and maybe the intent is to have people start searching for resources, but so early on in the book a hint as to where to start looking or more information about reference material might be nice.

I have another go book, but bought this one because this is an introductory text and I ran into wasting time figuring out all the basic stuff. At first sight I really like it.

Hi echeadle,

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts and feedback. I do want to make Learn Go as beginner friendly as I can.

I'm making a note to provide an example in at least one other language.

Nathan.

Hi echeadle,
Since it seems you don't have alternate language input setup on your system, you can use https://translate.google.com/. Copy strings there and paste into your environment.

That's a good suggestion. I've revised Chapter 1 to include an example using simplified Chinese and to suggest using Google Translate for further experimentation.

That will be coming in the April update in a about week.

Thanks.

It is difficult to incorporate this data in only a couple words. Begin by composing a rundown that incorporates whatever you believe is critical, and do my assignment afterward step by step prune it down to estimate by evacuating pointless words, while still retaini ng the vital ideas.
