I'm trying out the commands in chapter 2. Creating a new container for nginx worked, however creating a container for mailer fails. When I type the command:

docker run -d --name mailer

I'm getting this errror message:

docker: "run" requires a minimum of 1 argument.

greetings,

Anthony

Definitely missing a line. If you look on page 28, you will find the image name (dockerinaction/ch2_mailer).

So the full command:

$ docker run -d --name mailer dockerinaction/ch2_mailer

I am reading the electronic version (.pdf), there the command is printed on page 18. It only says:

docker run -d \
--name mailer \

thanks for your help, I was able to run the command:

docker run -d --name mailer dockerinaction/ch2_mailer

I would like to confirm what OP was saying. Page 18's command does not work. I replaced the command with: docker run -d --name mailer dockerinaction/ch2_mailer and everything seemed to work.
