Hi Rob,

what to expect from this book compared to Notes to a Software Team Leader?

What's your top selling argument to opt in for 2nd edition? smilie

Many thanks,

Daniel

Yes. Saw that. Was posted 2 days after I posted my question here.
Made it a bit clearer. Eagerly waiting for the rest of the book. smilie

Just to reproduce things here for quicker reference (but always verify with the source! smilie):

I'm happy to announce that I am re-publishing the "Notes to a Software Team Leader" as a new book under Manning publishing, re-titled "Elastic Leadership".

The new book will contain a couple of new chapters, regrouping the "notes" chapters under common themes, and extra annotations from me on the external notes, to add where I think they fit into the elastic leadership framework.

The new chapters I will be adding:

  • Line Manager's leadership manifesto

  • Bus Factors

  • So here's a follow-up question for Roy: which chapters in the list at https://www.manning.com/books/elastic-leadership will be new, and which are effectively the same from "Notes"?

Why is the first edition no longer available to download or buy?

because it was self published. the deal I made with manning is that as they pick up the book and it is fully published, I will take the previous version down from leanpub.
