Does the authors intended to provide some pattern to deal with this.


This concept is raised both in the chapter Location transparency, Principled failure handling, as well as devide and conquer.

For instance in Principle failure handling we have

“In traditional dependency injection it is customary to create the dependencies first such that they are available when dependent modules are started up; similarly they are terminated only after all dependents have stopped using them. With dynamic composition as described in the section on location transparency this coupling becomes optional, dependencies can come and go at arbitrary points in time, changing the wiring between modules at runtime.”


However no patterns in proposed for situation. How to give the ActorRef reference of an actor A to another actor B that does not own it, and Where A is at the bottom of a tow level hierachy

Thanks, this is a good point, I’ll take note to either add a link to a later chapter (once that is written) or include a more concrete example right there—I am not yet sure exactly which way is better.
