angular.js's .success and .error callbacks are marked as deprecated in the most recent version of the docs (https://docs.angularjs.org/api/ng/service/$http).
The code examples which use .success and .error might start throwing $http/legacy errors in the future (if I am reading the docs correctly).

Yeah, it does seem like they've decided to deprecate them very recently. Ionic is using v 1.3.13, and I'm going to check with them if they intend to keep it updated with Angular 1.x versions.

It would be a simple thing to change in the code, but we're very close to publishing so I'd like to avoid changing it unless necessary.
