I know this is kind of silly, but it's plain to see, and even stated so in the intro to the book that the cover is not of a ninja, but that of an actor portraying a samurai. I love both versions of this book FYI, but this has always irritated me. Perhaps if this were a book on freelancing as a javascript dev it would be appropriate (Secrets of the Javascript Ronin)?

In the spirit of progress a more suitable alternative may be: http://www.loc.gov/item/2009615611/ ? Either way, I enjoy the books, and keep up the good work!

I Agree with you. The picture should portray a NINJA.
I wouldn't change the title itself because Javascript it's more related to Ninjas than Ronin.

We get this suggestion a lot smilie

I'll bring it up with the publisher, and we'll see how things go from there.

Josip there is also a "one star" review on Amazon.com of the first version JUST because of the Samurai on the cover smilie
