If we follow the ROC curve, we see that when the false-positive rate increases, the true- positive rate decreases.

AFAIU on this graph, true and false positive rate are both increasing ...
Didn't you meant that when that a true positive rate "optimization" (good) lead to a false positive rate "optimization" too (bad) ?

Indeed, you are right. What we're trying to say is of course that there is a trade-off between the true-positive and false-positive rate.
