Listing 5.12 says to put the CSS into www/views/css/styles.css, which I did. The css didn't get applied. I downloaded step5 from GitHub, and you have the same CSS content in both www/views/css/styles.css and www/css/styles.css. Once I copied the content to the www/css/styles.css location, it worked.

Another good catch, thanks. I had it wrong in one location, and the reason it failed was that the www/css/styles.css file is already referenced in the www/index.html file. You could put that file anywhere as long as it is included correctly into the app.
