Hi.

I'm up to chapter 14, Building a web farm with Application Request Routing. I got as far as p 237, Testing the Web Farm, and my test failed. I think part of it is because of the instruction on p 234, "make sure you remove the NLB you installed in chapter 13". What's the proper way to remove the NLB?

And is there someplace to assign a cluster IP address when setting up ARR? Or doesn't it work that way.

Thanks,
Jeff

Figured it out.

Deleting the NLB wasn't my problem. That's easy enough[1].

My problem was all the cruft left over from the earlier chapters. The default web site on my domain controller was configured for https and running. http://www.lunchtime.test was giving me unauthorized error messages.

Once I fixed the binding on the Default Web Site on my DC, and added the NLB.htm files to the default web sites on web1 and web2, then I was seeing what I expected to see when I went to http://www.lunchtime.test.

Jeff
