Page 18 says "The CaveatEmptor online auction application demonstrates ORM techniques and Hibernate functionality. You can download the source code for the application from http://www.jpwh.org/"

I've searched for it in a variety of ways, in the hibernate example downloads, on the web, etc. No luck.

Given that it is singled out to demonstrate important points, I would expect to find it easily.

Re: Where is CaveatEmptor (early PDF of book, Sec. 2.1)?
Aha - Figure 2.3 shows a "BillingDetails" entity.
Searching for that got me to

package org.jpwh.model.inheritance.singletable.BillingDetails
as well as org.jpwh.model.inheritance.associations.manytoone.User,
etc.

So I have to assume that the various classes in the package represent "CaveatEmptor", though that word is never mentioned anywhere I can find, other than in the book itself.

So this deconfusealation has taken me (cost me) some time.

The book needs to demystify all this.

Re: Where is CaveatEmptor (early PDF of book, Sec. 2.1)?
Sorry, but Mac Spotlight didn't seem to find it when I tried earlier.
But I finally found it. Location:

So I've answered my own question. You can ignore this thread now.

But there's more (my next post, about poms).
