The instructions for use say "doubleclick on .." which makes me wonder if this image is intended for use under Windows? I am currently using Ubuntu Server 14.04 so there is no "click on" for me. Does this image also work with Ubuntu Desktop?

Clearly the image itself is Linux, but what is the intended host operating system?

Re: Question About Using the DevStack image
The image should work in any platform where Virtualbox (possibly other hypervisors) is supported. However, the image has only been tested under OSX.

Is the image working for you?

Re: Question About Using the DevStack image
Hit the post button too soon.

Here is a post on installing Virtualbox under Ubuntu: http://askubuntu.com/questions/453096/why-was-the-virtualbox-package-removed-from-the-14-04-repository

Also from Ubuntu: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/VirtualBox/Installation

I don't know if the install process somehow registers the .vbox extension in the Ubuntu Desktop. I am sure there are command line arguments that can be used with Virtualbox to launch the image without clicking.

Some old instructions here: http://www.howopensource.com/2011/06/how-to-use-virtualbox-in-terminal-commandline/

VBoxManage startvm <vm name> might work, but you might need to register the VM first.
