What on your thoughts about using gitlab? Will you cover it in the book?

Also, I was looking over the workflows and you always mention deleting the branch after merging. What is the benefit of deleting the branches? Seems like it would be worth while to keep them around in case you needed to reconstruct a merge.

I won't be covering gitlab.

Deleting the branches is useful just to clean things up. You can always recreate them at a later time from any commit in the history.
