It seems that the cities.csv example in section 2.1.4 requires a parseInt() call in the accessor function to work properly:

d3.min(data, function (el) {return parseInt(el.population)});

You're right. If it's any consolation, I've got parseInt in my actual code...

I think I need to put in capital letters that any d3.csv loads all data as strings. It's been the cause of many a heartbreak on my end.

I'll fix it in the next revision. Thanks again!
