On a fresh 12.044 64bit install of Ubuntu the instructions at 2.2.2 doesn't work.
There are some things to do in order to be able to run stack.sh

Note I installed the stach scripts in /root/devstack

1) create in /root a file named .gitconfig containig
[core]
autocrlf = false

If you don't do this the source commad doesn't work (see https://github.com/creationix/nvm/issues/309 )

Now you have ti give execution rigths on the entire path of functions
chmod a+x /root

Now the command "source /root/devstack/functions" works

I don't know why, but the variable STACK_USER in stack.sh has no value resulting in a corrupted /etc/sudoers.d/50_stack_sh

You have to add at the beginning of stack.sh a line containing
STACK_USER=stack

At this point stack.sh start executing

Hope this helps

Re: prerequisites for Ubuntu 12.04 for 2.2.2 Prepare the server environment
Thanks for the feedback!

I will jump in the lab next week and run through it all again. I appreciate the fixes you have provided and will make sure that the process is cleaned up.
