Text in this paragraph probably should explain in a bit more detail that we are creating a new collection named "numbers" and the code is one method for creating a collection. You may also want to say that the "numbers" collection is unrelated to the "users" collection that had just been worked upon in the preceding exercises. This helps the reader's mind shift gears and think in terms of the exercise being about a new collection which will further need to be indexed.

Re: Section 2.2.1, "Creating a large collection", of V5
Good idea -- in the interest of clarity.

I had to do a double-take and back track to see where and when the "numbers" collection was created.

A related question: did we essentially add "numbers" to the "tutorial" database? If so, it worth pointing out. Thanks. (I can't answer this through exploration because I am struggling with the setup of Mongo. Appendix A wasn't nearly as helpful as I hoped. I am using Win7 66-bit.)

That said, an excellent way to illustrate why indexing makes sense!

Ahem... that should have read... "... I am using Win7 -- on a 64-bit machine."
