I've found it useful to copy the code from your examples and paste them into ChucK. Then I can experiment with them and run them; however in listing 1.20 on page 45, the code won't run as written. One of the for loops starts with a capital F. Changing it to lower cases fixes the problem.

Thanks for this. Since this is a pre-formatted version of the chapters,
those marks are for the layout people to put annotations and links
back into numbers inline with the text. You do need to comment
them out before running the code. I've asked the publisher if
we could instead use //# as the marking, then it would work to
copy/paste/run directly.

For now, you can Search/ReplaceAll # with //#
