Please excuse me if this has been posted before. I imported an XML file from the Activiti Modeler as shown in the book, section 3.2.4 "Importing a process modeler into the designer". I rename the file to a *.bpmn extension so the "Open With -> Activiti Diagram Editor" shows. But the editor shows a blank diagram. I can open and edit the source ok, but not the diagram. Are the XML files from the modeler still compatible with the Eclipse designer plugin? Or are there any extra steps needed to make the diagram show up?

This is my setup:
Windows7 Home Premium 64bit
Eclipse Version: Juno Service Release 2, Build id: 20130225-0426
Java version "1.6.0_11"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_11-b03)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 11.0-b16, mixed mode)
Activiti Eclipse BPMN 2.0 Designer 5.12.0
Activiti Modeler 5.9

Thanks for your replies.

Re: Importing from modeler shows blank diagram.
Hi Jose,

It's best to use the Activiti Modeler that's now part of the Activiti Explorer when you download Activiti 5.12. But if you are using the old Modeler you should make sure that isExecutable is set to true instead of false. Then it should work.

Best regards,

Re: Importing from modeler shows blank diagram.
Thanks, I was able to import the model without problems using the modeler included in the explorer 5.12. I was following the book instructions and was not aware that the modeler is now available from within the explorer.
