How should exception logging be implemented in Win8 using C#?

if I tried to use Event Viewer the tools are not in the framework, should I write to files? or what's the best practices or guidelines for this?

Thanks

Re: Exception Logging
Well, I end up writting to a text file, not sure if any one know how to write to the event viewer since the tipical methods in .NET are not available.

Re: Exception Logging
I don't have a good answer for you on this one, yet. I'm actually discussing it with some folks in the product team. You're right in that the usual approaches aren't available.

For now, you should be able to write (or port, or wait for someone else to port) a trace listener or something like NLog or log4net. They just aren't there yet.
