I cant find the command for sending a message to the Roo console from within my first plugin. Searched the book and Google.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Posting to the Roo console from within plugin - how to?
Sorry about that. Inject a logger and do any of trace, war, error and it will show up in the console.

Re: Posting to the Roo console from within plugin - how to?
Its no problem, its not Roo specific by the sound of it.

I am going to treat messages to plugin users as important.

For example, to me there should always be "xxxx status-check" command for a plugin. The plugin user should always be able to quickly verify status. Most of such a command should be no more than reporting the results of the methods used to allow or disallow commands.

I am going to suggest it as a best practice back on the Roo forum.

Right. I agree.

If you review the Roo source code, you'll see they do this a lot. Check out the various add-ons the team wrote, and you'll see a lot of output to the users, explaining what is happening, etc...
