I'm using Tomcat 7
and I get an exception says

javax.servlet.ServletException: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: uges.servlets.MyQuery: method <init>()V not found

I have change the useBean class attribute to QueryResult .. it has a method called runQueryStar that replaces runQuery!

Any clue will be appreciated!

Re: is Jess 7 compatible with Tomcat 7?!
The error message suggests that Tomcat expects a class named "uges.servlets.MyQuery" to have a no-argument constructor; this is not a Jess class, of course, so Jess has nothing to do with the error.

Jess, being just a Java library which includes absolutely no Tomcat-specific (or even web-specific) code, is of course 100% compatible with any version of Tomcat, past or future. Whether the servlet example from the nearly ten-year-old "Jess in Action" will still run in modern versions of Tomcat is another question altogether, and one to which I do not know the answer.
