Hi,

I am interested in your book, but it is not easy to know to which edition I find
to sell on-line. Could you inform me to which version this one refers?

Amazon
Paperback - 422 pages (December 1999)
Manning Publications Company; ISBN: 1884777740 ;
Dimensions (in inches): 0.95 x 9.23 x 7.42

First or second edition?????

Sincerely yours,

Carlos Silva.

Hi Carlos,

It is tough to tell when buying online. Most places like Amazon from what I've
been told should be selling the second edition but there may be places that
are still selling the first. To tell the difference (once you have a physical
copy) is to check for the line:
"Second corrected printing 2000"
third from the bottom of page iv. The second edition will have this while the
first edition will not.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

But if it states that the printing is from 2000, so doesn't it means that it was
impressed after Jan of 2000, eliminating any book from 1999??

Hi Carlos,

I beleive there could still be some old stock out there. However, it has been
over a year since the new revision has been out there.

The book stores will continue to advertise it at the original published date
however. To make things even more confusing, publishers (like car makers)
always jump the gun by up to six months, and even though it was originally
published in September 1999, it says copyright 2000 on both versions.
