Since default scope is Singleton, what happens when multiple user requests access the same bean instance returned by Spring container? Should access to the methods w/in the bean be synchronized for thread safe reason? I understand that we can also use Prototype, request or session scope but we can implement common services as singleton bean. Please explain why or why not. It will be very helpful. Thank you.

If you have multiple request to a bean (configured as singleton) and this has state variables your bean is not threat safe.
