I feel that working with the examples in Wicket in Action is "not workable". You can see the code, but if you want to actually want to create the project with just the code, it is not clear how to do it. You get this whole whopping application! Here are some issues I have. I don't know why the authors started with using the Index class as the homepage and overriding it without explaining it. If you start a default Wicket project, the default is HomePage. I would have presented some base examples building upon this. Therefore, I broke out the individual pieces that a user can build upon. Then, I went through the steps and added the pieces for the Cheesr project. I find that when you put these initial pieces together, the Wicket book has a lot of value.
