For being a book about Examples, I have found very few in the first 100 pages.
Examples of how people create examples however, are plenty.
Well, maybe in the last chapters...

The book is about the processes more than the artifacts, and as you said there are plenty of examples of processes. I've added a new section to chapter 2 that goes through all artifact examples as well, not sure whether that is in the latest MEAP or not, but it will be in the final book.

The authors should spend time on the specific tools early in the book. Perhaps an open source system such as Dexy could be used to build a complete, detailed example, with working code and living documentation.
