We have created a thread to gather errata readers discover in the manuscript: spelling and grammar mistakes, typos, incorrect references, and other simple or obvious errors. Please post all your corrections to this thread rather than starting a new thread for each error you find. Some errata will be corrected in future MEAP releases, and others may remain uncorrected until the book enters production and gets a careful copyedit. Thanks!

"one" => "more"

Re: Errors and Corrections
In chapter one, all figure references are off by one (what an error in a programming book), e.g. "see figure 1.11" should be "see figure 1.12".

Also on page 10, it reads: "Notice imparticular", which should be "Notice in particular".

Page 11:

"Yep, it's already in a state we can compile and run it".

Either:

1. Remove "it" from the end; or
2. Add "where" in front of "we"

Bottom, page 11:

"That white rectangle is the view controller you saw displayed when you ran the project in the simulator."

To be entirely correct, isn't it really the view controller's associated view we saw? A view controller doesn't really have a visual representation (but it's associated view does).

The sentence "Now run your app again and ... congrats" is repeated.

Page 18, bottom:

"Just like we.......and scroll in the items list on the bottom right to file the Round..."

"file" should be "find".

Re: Errors and Corrections
It appears that figure references are out by 1 from 1.4 until the end of the chapter.

Page 10 - "You'll notice that the selections you made." Seems to be an unfinished sentence.

Re: Errors and Corrections
In listing 6.2, the retrieveURL method is implemented.
In the downloadable source code, this method is misspelled as "retreiveURL" in IAHTTPCommunication.h and .m
