Is the example in Chapter 3 supposed to be runnable?
Is the complete source files online somewhere?

There appears to be a typo in Listing 3.2:
newAlertDialog.Builder(this).
should have a space (i think)
new AlertDialog.Builder(this).

The source code available from the book page at mannings is correct on this, but of course it should also be correct in the book.

Well, the public class RestaurantFinderApplication that extends Application is not in the book. It is referenced in the rest of the code but is not defined (I'm sure because I also searched the pdf version of the book). Can you even compile the program without defining that class?
