When I tried out Sencha's Ext Designer, I was curious as to why the components RadioGroup and CheckBoxGroup are not included in that application.

That lead me to this answer the Sencha forums:

Well, we actually kept these out because they're broken in Ext JS anyways...but whenever they're actually working in Ext JS we'll turn them back on smilie

A further search, brought up these particular problems:

Sencha's answer to most of these is that these two components are being re-engineered for the Ext JS 4.x.x release. In the mean-time, are there guidelines for how to make use of these components while avoided the current issues?

In the MEAP edition of Ext JS in Action, I didn't notice any mention of these problems.

Re: The Problems with RadioGroup and CheckBoxGroup
To be honest, I rarely use the RadioGroup and CheckboxGroup classes and have not noticed this, thus did not include this in the text for the book.

I apologize for missing this detail.
