Any chance of a 2nd edition of PIA? It's a great book, but a lot has evolved since its publication. A lot of framework support for injecting singleton services into stateful domain objects exist now. I think the barrier for adoption of some to the advanced topics have been reduced, but it's still difficult to get your head wrapped around all the concepts.

This book is one of the few I've seen that discusses in detail how to integrate a layered application architecture with actual frameworks. And using test driven techniques in a realistic way (very rare indeed). I'd like to see an update to this book reflecting the state of the art of Spring, JPA, EJB, and maybe a little Guice to demonstrate alternate DI techniques.
